On this Veterans Day we pause to give extra thanks to the men and women who have given and continue to give so much for us and our country.
The Stars & Stripes Collection
This year, we wanted to design a line of performance polos that speaks to the brave men and women who have served our country. In doing so, we enlisted the help of many of our friends and family who are veterans or active-duty service members to design these shirts. We are honored to introduce The Stars & Stripes Collection where 20% of all net sales from this collection will be donated to charities helping veterans and their families including American Humane’s Pups4Patriots program - a nonprofit that rescues shelter dogs and trains them to be service dogs for veterans in need. Pups for Patriots
For some veterans, coming home as a civilian is only the beginning of another daunting battle. American Humane’s Pups4Patriots™ program rescues qualified shelter dogs in need of homes and trains them to be service dogs for veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). In addition, the program awards grants to veterans requiring financial assistance to obtain and care for their service dog and provides them with insight and institutional support as they navigate the daunting process and life change.
A growing body of scientific research shows that specially trained PTS service dogs can reduce stress and anxiety levels, mitigate depression, ease social reintegration, provide comfort, and restore confidence in affected veterans.
